Have a pumpkin spice latte and donuts at Boneshaker Paris
I am not the biggest fan of the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, but I know a place in Paris that does a great one – Boneshaker Donuts! They make delicious vegan donuts and cinnamon rolls, qnd their pumpkin spice latte is the perfect blend of good coffee and autumnal spices. Go there in the morning to grab their goods fresh; a great breakfast on a sunny autumn day!
Buy a spooky book at Shakespeare and Co
If you are an avid reader, you may already know the famous Shakespeare and Co bookshop, a quirky, vintage book-lover heaven located near Notre Dame Cathedral. There, you can browse hundreds of titles, in English, everything from new releases to non-fiction and children’s books. on the first floor, you can sit next to Aggie, the bookshop cat, and read a few pages, surrounded by antique books. Autumn truly is the best time to visit Shakespeare and Co – and buy a new spooky book!
Visit the Père Lachaise cemetery to see Oscar Wilde’s tomb
Autumn, and especially October, is the best time to visit an old cemetery, filled with moody statues and beautiful tombs. Old cemeteries always make me think of England and Scotland, and if you’re not too scared, they make for a great, atmospheric autumn walk.
The Père Lachaise cemetery is the biggest green space in Paris, and many people visit it to find the tombs of great artists, musicians, of counts and princesses – Gertrude Stein, Molière, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf… With the trees turning golden and orange, the old vaults and stained glass, the Père Lachaise is the perfect place to celebrate the spirit of Halloween in Paris!
