Hello !

For my first post on this new blog, I’m going to show you the product that I loved the most in 2014. I know it’s already mi-January, but it doesn’t really matter, does it? 😉

So I’m presenting you my most used products of the past year, divided in three categories: makeup, skincare and hair. Let’s start straight away!

~ Makeup~

1 ~ The Naked Palette 3, Urban Decay. I’ve had it from a friend for my birthday in October, and since then it’s the palette that I’ve been using the most! I love the pink shades of it, the eyeshadows are perfect for everyday makeup looks. Urban Decay never disappoints!

2 ~ They’re Real mascara, Benefit. Another Urban Decay product, and I’m sure it’s no surprise for you to see it in this post! This mascara is the best I’ve ever used. It makes my lashes look longer, curvier, and more voluminous. It’s not the cheapest, but definitely worth the price!

3 ~ Rimmel Apocalips, shade Galaxy. I’ve been wearing this colour a lot this year, it is the perfect nude pink shade for me. The formula is really good and I like the fact that your lips don’t look too glossy as well. I’m probably going to try some new colours of Apocalips this year!

4 ~ Bubble Bath, OPI. I love nude nails, and this sheer pink is perfect to have that pretty and neat look. Two coats are great for a “your nails but better” finish, but I prefer to wear three so that the pastel pink shade really stands out. A basic that everybody needs!

5 ~ The Super Liner, L’Oreal. There has to be an eyeliner in my favourites, as it’s one of my most used makeup products. The Super Liner works great for me, and I’ve bought it two or three times in 2014. The colour is deep black, the formula stays on forever, and it’s easy to apply!

6 ~ High Beam, Benefit. This is the only highlighter I have to be honest, but it’s the only one I need! It has a very pretty, luminous shine to it, without being glittery and too noticeable. I’ve only got a small bottle which I got in a Benefit kit, but you need so little of it each time that it is going to last me for at least another year!

~ Skincare ~

1 ~ Miscellar Solution, Garnier. Miscellar water is the best way to remove makeup according to me, and even though the Bioderma one is probably the best, the Garnier one is very similar to it. It doesn’t have any smell, it removes makeup really quickly and it doesn’t dry out the skin. A winner!

2 ~ Crème Prodigieuse for normal to combination skin, Nuxe. This face cream is a delight to use, it smells so good and feels so soft on the skin! It is quite moisturising, but maybe not enough if your skin is very dry. Nuxe is one of my favourite brands, it never fails to impress me.

3 ~ Moisturising Shea Body Butter, Nspa. I picked up this body butter very randomly in Asda, mostly because it was so cheap (not sure now, but I think around the £3 mark), and it actually turned out very good! It is very moisturising and the smell is good without being too strong. I’ll buy it again this year!

~ Hair ~

1 ~ Curl Definition + Soft Feel Serum, Aussie. This serum, that I apply on wet hair and then later on when my hair is dry, definitely helps my curl to be more bouncy and shiny. I always pair it with the 3 Minute Miracle (see below), and they both work very well on my hair.

2 ~ Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. This is the BEST haircare product I’ve ever tried, and trust me I’ve been through a lot of them! It just makes the hair so soft and silky, and clearly gives it moisture. I can’t wait to try other Aussie products!

3 ~ Huile Prodigieuse, Nuxe. I’m sure you all know this product, it is clearly a hit in the world of beauty. This dry oil smells heavenly, it sinks into the skin so quickly and moisturises your body, your face and your hair. I don’t know how many bottles of it I’ve used already, but the Huile Prodigieuse will forever be my favourite!

4 ~ Elnett Hairspray, L’Oréal. We always need a good hairspray to make our most sophisticated updos stay perfect the whole day… And the Elnett is the only hairspray I trust for long lasting, invisible and non-sticky finish.

So here are my favourite products of 2014! They’re the ones I used the most, and that I’ll probably be buying again – I’ve already done so for some of them!

Tell me, what are you favourite products of the past year? 😉
