In Montenegro I saw some of the biggest wisteria trees I've ever seen in my life! 😍 They were vibrant and in full bloom too.

Welcome to Montenegro 🇲🇪

Very excited to share tips about this beautiful country on my feed! 🥰
First, here's a few things you should know before visiting Montenegro:

🇲🇪 Montenegro only became a country in 2006, making it one of Europe's youngest countries.
🇲🇪 The currency used there is the Euro. Many businesses are still cash only, so make sure to have some cash with you. Withdrawing money from an ATM, even from a Euro account, comes with a small bank fee.
🇲🇪 Many people can speak a little English (enough to get by and order at restaurants), but some people won't speak any English at all. It's nice to have a note on your phone with a few words of Montenegrin!
🇲🇪 Montenegro is 80% mountains, creating stunning, dramatic landscapes throughout the country.
🇲🇪 Renting a car to explore the national parks is the best way to explore Montenegro.
🇲🇪 Food-wise, there are many grilled meat dishes, sea food, pasta dishes. Rakija is the local liquor. Montenegro has great coffee!

Sometimes, you need to go out of your own way to be happy. ☀️

It's easier to turn out the TV and spend hours watching a show, than to get ready to go on a walk outside. It's easier to be on TikTok (or Instagram!) than to get out paint or drawing materials and express your creativity on paper. It's easier to stay in your lane than to reach out to people and make meaningful connections.
Find out the things that make your life richer, and make time and effort for them. More often than not, you won't regret it. Invest in your happiness. 🤍

This reminder is for all of you who, like me, can sometimes stay in their comfort zone so they don't get disappointed - in themselves or in others. We've got this! 🤗

All you need to know to visit Kew Gardens, London 🇬🇧🌿

Kew Gardens make for a wonderful half-day trip from London. They are among the best botanical gardens I've seen!

🌴What you shouldn't miss in Kew Gardens:
- the daffodil patches in the spring
- the Palm House and its stunning architecture
- the Treetop Walkway
- Chokushi-Mon and the Japanese gardens, especially in April when the cherry blossoms are blooming
- the Waterlily house with its giant waterlilies
- the greenhouse species at the Princess of Wales Conservatory

🌷Of course depending on the season, different flowers will be in bloom!
🍽️ There are several places to eat at Kew.

🎟️ Buy your tickets online in advance. You can add a visit to the Great Pagoda for an extra fee, but honestly it's not really worth it. There is nothing inside, and the views from the Treetop Walkway are better.
🏰 Kew Palace and the King's Observatory are also in Kew Gardens, but you can visit with a different ticket. If you're a Bridgerton fan, you may want to go! 😏

🚊 Kew Gardens is located in Richmond, west of London. Getting there takes some time from Central London so be prepared!
Even better, turn your expedition to Kew Gardens into a whole day trip including Richmond and Richmond Park!

🏰 Najac, Bruniquel and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, in Tarn-et-Garonne

Many people visit the Jardin des Plantes in the spring, because their cherry trees are now rather famous. And for good reason: they are among the prettiest trees in Paris!
However, many people completely miss this little side garden, complete with bluebells and fairy trees:
📍The Alpine Garden
at the Jardin des Plantes. 🌿
It features wilder flowers and trees than those you find in the French gardens. The Alpine Gardens seems to me the perfect place for little fairies to hide! 🥰🧚‍♀️
